2. Overview — What Data We Process

PresetGen is a mobile app for iOS. Your data is stored and processed using Convex, a backend service hosted in the European Union. Data is transmitted securely between your device and the Convex backend. There are no third-party tracking tools, advertising networks, or cross-device profiling in use.

3. Data Processed in Detail

3.1 User Account & App Data

The app stores data you create — such as presets, settings, and usage history — on the Convex backend hosted in the EU. This data is associated with your account and is required to provide the app's core functionality.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

3.2 Notifications

If you enable reminders, local notifications are scheduled on your device. These are processed entirely on-device and are not sent to any external server. You can disable notifications at any time in your iOS settings.

3.3 In-App Purchases (Pro Access)

The app offers optional paid features (monthly subscription, annual subscription, lifetime purchase). Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment data. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

4. No Third-Party Tracking or Analytics

The app does not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. No cross-device profiles are created.

5. Export and Import

The app offers an optional function to export and import your data as a file. The export is generated locally on your device. If you subsequently share the file with other services, the privacy policies of those services apply.

6. Data Storage and Deletion

Your data is stored on the Convex backend hosted in the EU for as long as your account exists. You can delete your data at any time within the app or by contacting us. If you delete your account or request deletion, all associated data will be removed from our systems.

7. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the data we process about you.
• Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request deletion of your data at any time within the app or by contacting us.
• Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Use the app's export function to obtain your data in a common format.
• Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection (BayLfD).

8. Security

We rely on the security measures provided by Apple's platform for local data and on Convex's infrastructure security for backend data. Data is transmitted using encrypted connections. No storage or transmission method is 100% secure; absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Children

The app is not specifically directed at children under 13. Persons below the legally required minimum age should only use the app with the consent of a parent or guardian.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date.
